Up the Creek Winery became located in the heart of Cumberland County, Kentucky.  We planted our vineyards during the springs of 2003 and 2004.  Today, we manage over 1,200 wine grapevines and 700 trellised blackberry and red raspberry bushes. Our grape varietals include Golden Muscat, Concord and Diamond (American variety); Chambourcin, Seyval Blanc, Vignoles, Marquette, and Marechal Foch (Hybrid varieties).

Home to an ancient sea, our vineyard locations harbor well drained soils with dark shale, quartz like rock, fossils of shellfish and limestone. These geological features trace similarities to several of the top wine grape growing regions of the world.  Our Kentucky wines display an old tobacco barn on their labels, signifying the winery's farm and the Commonwealth's heritage.

Our Winery's Possum Hollow farm grows Kentucky Proud grapes and brambles.  We procure additional fruits from our Kentucky neighbors.  These healthy home-grown products give Up the Creek Winery an excellent start.  We bring our products in fresh from the fields and make great wines!

A Small Farm Winery, we hand craft each wine at Up the Creek to ensure perfect balance and quality for your sipping pleasure.
